We got flat smoked tonight. Had 2 different races. 8 miles later, nothing but running experience for the young dogs to show for it. Good gosh, those hogs were runners. Oh well. We had fun trying.

Nothing like a running hog to make you cuss your dogs.  It's those kind that make hunting worth it, if it was easy everybody would have monsters to show.  Glad to know the young ones are getting some good education.

last week we ran a 90 pound shoat for over 2 hours...saw him twice...but it was a thick jungle...at the end he went right past a 200 pound boar and the dogs swapped over and caught the boar...smart shoat Grin

then 3 days later my buddy goes out and catches 6 hogs over 200 pounds in about 2 hours with the same dogs...

then we went again night before last and ran one in circles for over 2 hours with the same dogs and never caught or saw that sucker...

yep...it's real simple Huh? Grin Grin
