Well, I'd have to say that I am a happy man again... Since I shattered my wrist, these are the first hogs I've gotten behind my new dog Fred. They aren't anything to brag about, but I'm happy I finally got a hog behind my new dogs. We had one of the hardest and longest hunts yet on Sunday. We were out in BFE, and we hit two different spots. We walked about 5.5 miles at the first spot, and the dogs did about 11. They took off on a couple tracks there, but with nothing to show for it. So we loaded up and took off to the second spot. Dropped the dogs, and took off walking again. Fred, Pistol, Dixie, and Joe struck a group and they all went different directions. LOL! We had Joe and Pistol on their own hog, but we needed to head to Fred cause he was hammering hard. We walked up close to be able to see the hog, and let the CDs see the bay. It was a big nasty!!! So we let them loose, and Parker hit and got chunked, then Baus and the boar ran into each other head on and the fight broke! Dogs took off chasing the big boy, and they went for .9 before Fred got him stopped again. Cool thing is, my CD Baus followed the chase for the whole .9 miles, and met back up with us before we got to the bay again. Ended up getting to the bay, but the big nasty was gone. Found my Fred dog with his own hog just a little bigger than him, and caught on the ear by himself. Baus and Parker had their own hog as well. We ended up getting 3 after it was all said and done. Sorry, no pics of the first one Joe and Pistol got. We walked another 5 miles at the second spot. Total we walked almost 11 miles, and the dogs did 25. Couldn't be happier. Ready to go see this big boy again though. Sorry for the long story, but it just feels good to be able to post again. Me and Fred, Blake and Baus. Jeffrey and Parker

Thanks guys! It feels good to be back in the woods again! And Jeffrey, his name is now Big Nasty! We need to throw Jane and Baus at him next time... I swear when I saw that hog and Baus hit the hog was a foot taller than Baus. And Trent, thanks for Joe! He did good. He got out bout a mile on his own and hunted his butt off! I'll say one more thing bout the dogs too... Blake's Pistol is a hunting bitch! She out miled all of the dogs! The drive that dog has is incredible!

Thanks AR. Fred is from Jimmy Creed. He is plott x cur x cat... He looks for cur than anything. He is smart as all get out, and is my lead dog. Don't know much other than that except for the fact that he is a helluva dog! He won't ever leave my yard!!!

She is a little mouthy on track but is by far one of the hardest hunting dogs I have seen for only 10-11 months! Now I just need to get her to not run everything in the woods. LOL
