Anybody know how to fix a dc 40 with a solid red light? It will not link up with the 220. Tried updating and it would not run all the way through the web updater?

It will not shut off. I was gonna wait until the battery runs out and try to turn it on.

Any suggestions? Or send it to Garmin?

Eastwing 16 once hammer.   Cheesy

You can unplug the battery by removing the 9 screws to open it.  It may reset for you.  If it is new within the last 4 months, I would just get it replaced.  Garmin had an issue that they became aware of.  They shut the assembly lines down on the DC-40's for about 2-3 weeks.  They fixed the issue, and the lines are in production again.  Conkey's has 100 new fresh of the lines collars in right now.  He received them yesterday.  If you bought them through Bruce, call him.  He will help you out.

It is about Hammer time! Smiley

Took it apart and tried the battery plug. Still the solid light. I am gonna try the battery running out and hope that resets it. It was acting funny last hunt and shutting off by itself but turned right back on with the button.

It is 2 months past the 1 year and Garmin is at least 4-6 weeks on backorder on repairs Angry
