Got a new addition to the pack.  Finally got a day off to see what he could do.  Turned loose this morning and didnt take long before the new dog and my Bell gyp struck one.  He had his running shoes on and left the country.  Waited until I lost signal on my wildlife system and headed their way in the ranger.  Finally picked them back up.  Was getting pretty close and I couldnt hear them.  Fidgured they had quit but to my suprise they got him shut down.  Thats when it got interesting.  Eased in with the catch dog and turned loose.  Catch dog hit and I went to running in only to have the catch dog almost run over me.  Didnt bring the gun I knew better.  Leashed the dog in the catch vest and walked out to get the rifle.  Snuck back in and finally got a good shot on him.  A good boar bout 215 to 225 and 2 in slicers.  From where we started to where we finished on a straight line was 1.7 miles.  Looks like the new dog may have earned a spot   Grin.

Marines I see as two breeds, Rottweilers or Dobermans, because Marines come in two varieties, big and mean, or skinny and mean. They're aggressive on the attack and tenacious on defense. They've got really short hair and they always go for the throat.

Yes he did work, Bell took the most.  She will be sore for a few weeks but nothing major.
Man I hope this new dog was not a fluke.  She needs a good co pilot to push her.

The catch dog got whooped, she took a good whoopin about a month ago on a bigger hog and i guess she had a flashback of that one.  She's not wired tight enough to catch by herself.  Ive been shooting hogs for a good while now somebody wasnt feeding this dog so i gave her a chance.  I got a bulldog she's not old enough to use yet.
