I have 2 jagds, they are monsters, they bayed the hair off a hog the first time they ever saw one. I brought em on their first hunt saturday and they were out 300-500yds like they had done it a thousand times. My larger male snuff is turnin it on big time, cant wait to see what this year holds.
I will be buyin a female to breed soon and have already spoken to a gentlman on this board, hopefully ill jave her in a week or two.
Finally the hog doggin can resume!

I have hunted with a buddy that had a female jagd terroir she was the devil and very mean to big boar hogs she was one of the best stike dogs I have seen yet to date she was 100 percent hog dog and when the catch dog got there you bet your ace she was hanging off that son of guns ear whether it was 30 pounds or like then one they caught this past summer that weight 380 pounds and that little sucker had an ear and her feet were not even touching the ground! Bad thing is she got into one 2 many recks! They let her out to play one day in the yard and she disappeared and they never saw her again! needless to say they are still devestated about it

For hogs.....jadgs ....and im a patterdale man. I am neither but I like all working terriers and the Jadgs are more for ranging and trailing as compared to the patterdale. I think a patterdale crossed with a lacy would make a nice looking kill or be killed dog...

I have had 2 that started between 5-6 months. My latest adult was not actually hunted until I got it at a year and a half. I have a 13 week old female pup that got in the hog pen a couple days ago. I was working a cur and the female jagd pup wanted to join in.
My first female was trailing alone at 5 months old. Bayed her first hog in the woods at 5 months too. My second female that recently died was amazing, but straight catch. I'm surprised she lived so long. I have a male that is about 5 years old. He is a good solid dog, and rarely gets close to a hogs head. He keeps them spinning. I can't hunt either with too many dogs or they will catch. The older male can be hunted alone.
