Well we started off this morning with the dogs vested up and trackers on. Bet to where we gonna hunt let out and walk down old dirt road. One of our pups shoots out across clearcut with sue circling around the other way. Bayed right in side the pines. Rest of the dogs are gone to the bay. First sow caught (125 lbs). Also caught a piglet hiding under a bush. We tie her up and tie the dogs up. Then we hear Sue bayed again. I walk Rocko (CD) and fifty up to the bay and let them loose. Caught another sow (150 lbs). We get the truck and regroup. We load the pigs up and send the dogs again. We walk down to the river and all the dogs start gettin piggy. Sue breaks and crosses river and bays bout 300yds out. We get the dogs and us across and they hear her and are gone. Starts gettin good now. We head off in a jog to get there. I am leading the CD across a beaver pond and we see the other dogs about 150 yds in front of us. All of this happens in about 5 min tops. More dogs are baying now so we know it is a good one. I get within 50 yds and lots of bayin but no grunting and no squealing. I let the CD go and still nothing. I am running behind CD and see this beat of a hog flippin dogs and raising ****. I run in and grab a leg my two friends are not far behind. Blood everywhere NOT good. We see that blackie has been cut bad on the neck so we decide to stick the hog instead of tieing him up. Get blackie and the reat of the dogs out where we can check them. We quick 1 1/2 miles to truck and drive around to gather up the mutts and head home to care of the wounds. We get home and have yet to take to CD vest off. The CD got smashed. I stapled blackies neck and rear. CD got staples in center chest for a 4 inch gash and more on shoulder and neck. It took a total of 45 seconds for CD to get (I counted) 15 aleast 1" cuts or punctures. Long story but both dogs will hopefully fully recover. Boar hog 250
