I'm just wondering how do some of yall start pups on hog hides?

I use em for drags. Put it on a rope and do a couple short drags and give em treats so they put two and two together and gradually do longer and longer drags

Will they associate the hogs blood with that? Hide has that well hog smell and as they get older will they look for that smell plus the smell of the blood on the hide?

Well the dominant smell on it is hog and if your draggin it your Levin your smell to. As the pups get older drag a small live pig and tie it to a tree or fences or somethin
