Finally caught some good boar hogs last weekend.  Ever since the tournament I've had some great hunts but only ending up with sows or shoats.  That wind was blowing real hard all night.  Hadn't been for the GPS, we would not have known where the dogs were bayed.  As soon as we turned them out, we caught a sow.  One of my catchdogs, ripped off her ear.  Got on another sow right after and was convinced my luck of sows and shoats was continuing.  We pointed the dogs back into the wind and they bayed solid real quick again.  Cut the catch dogs loose and this time it was this nice black boar.  We were taking a few pics in the field when we looked around and all the dogs had rolled back out.  Sure enough, they started baying again.  We watched the bay break and the dogs stop him on the GPS.  We gathered ourselves back up and on the way there I saw one of my kerrs wondering away.  I knew he must of got cut.  Got close and cut the bulldogs loose.  They got him shut down and we stuck him.  He was the red boar with even 3" cutters on each side.  Called it a night but we could have continued to work in the wind and catch hogs all night, it was just one of those nights.  Saturday night, we hunted another place and caught the 3 sows.  Good weekend.

Josh,

Nice... I really like the red hog.

Been wondering if Marsh ever got his dogs back that you posted about a couple months ago?

Josh,
Did i hunt with you and mr. marsh a few yrs back on matagorda islands?  I had lost my hat crawling around on the island and you some how bumped into making your way back?  I had a red bulldog with me.  We met up at Daryls and headed down there.

Hello Ben,

Sure sounds familiar.  I'm sure it was me because Marsh and I use to hunt all the time.  Hunting Matagorda, you spend alot of time on all fours crawling around.  I lost more equipment and found old lost equipment out there every time I went!  If your ever in Matagorda again, stop by my bay house and say hello.  It's the yellow house with a sign that says "Sunrise House" at Bay Harbour.
