I have a 9 month old male catahoula bay dog. He's found one hog in a mock run. He will catch shoats up to 80 pounds. He won't go over 200 yards out. What's some ideas on how to get him to hunt further out and find hogs by himself

Locate, close with, and destroy the enemy.

increasingly further hide/hog drags with a reward at the end.

Marines I see as two breeds, Rottweilers or Dobermans, because Marines come in two varieties, big and mean, or skinny and mean. They're aggressive on the attack and tenacious on defense. They've got really short hair and they always go for the throat.

SEE IF YOU CAN GET HIM TO BUDDY UP WITH A DOG THAT WILL RANGE FURTHER OUT AND MAYBE HE WILL START FOLLOWING THAT DOG. IT WORKS FOR ALOT OF PEOPLE. CHAIN OR KENNEL IT NEXT TO THE DOG YOU WANT IT TO FOLLOW. I ALWAYS PUT MY YOUNG DOGS NEXT TO MY BEST GYP. WHEN THEY START GOING DEEP WITH HER CONSISTENTLY THEN ILL LEAVE HER AT THE HOUSE AND SEE IF THEY WILL DO IT ON THEIR OWN.

Box the pup and dog you want it to go out with in the same hole if you can so they can get used to being together when going hunting let them out at the same time. My pups first time to the woods I boxed her with the main strike dog and she will run step for step most of the time with him good luck nothing is like the feeling when you see the main strike dog and pup bayin up first time.
