Based on what I saw in the advertisement, I would stay with Garmin......But, competition is good for us. Garmin has what they call "Market Share" right now on GPS Tracking. You can bet Magellan and other companies are noting everything and they will come out with something better. That is good for us. I really with Garmin would fix their issues so that I won't have to change.

Training dogs is not about quantity, it's more about timing, the right situations, and proper guidance...After that it's up to the dog... A hunting dog is born not made...

the sport dog may be cheaper in apperance but it does not have all the functions of the garmin such as maps and birds eye view capabilities . and yes soon there will be many more trackers out there . and marshal is working on thiers but wont market till it's the best there is . look at one of the others that you have to pay yearly fee, not very expensive and it works off the computer or a phone app will show you where your dog is all over the country .

yeah thats ok i don't have any but fixin on getting something probably just a beep beep machine . most every body i've talked to about the garmin like them soley cause of the maps . and if i can't see my dogs i ain't gonna shock em anyway so don't see the advantage . talk to doug mullins on dogem down south site . he got one of the sportdogs and sent it back , said he didn't like it and went BACK to the garmin . that was the gist of all the reviews of the product i read was no map function . but hey nothing like finding out first hand let us know what you think about it when you get it .
