Any one ever had a dog get sick after eating hog meat?
I killed a little 25 pound sow and fed my dogs each a hind or front quarter
This was thursday night today my boxer house dog would not eat and has green nasty  mucus comming out of his nose. He as also not energetic like usual.

Ever had similar signs?

The other dogs seem ok just a little stools were more runny but normally dry cuz I feed sportmix

Please give me your experience

Don't know about your symptoms, but did read in a recent Bayedsolid about a type of Rabies dog can get from eating raw hog meat from an infected pig.

I raw feed a few times a week and have never had any problems. I usually freeze the meat first though, then thaw it out for them a couple days later.

It might just be a coincidence. Is the dog coughing or weezing. If so it might have kennel cough or some other common illness.

Well the vet was not able to figure it out, but after 450 bucks my dog is doing better.....but my wallet not so much.
But the bad news continues, there must be a dog flu or something, all 4 of my dogs are now sick.
They all act normal but have excess snot coming out of their noses and you can hear it when they are trying to sniff something.
They are not doing as bad as the first dog but i have them all on anitbiotics so hopefully that will help get rid of whatever is affecting them.
I really dont know what it could be and vet had no answers for me
sucks real bad

I washed every food bowl and water bucket.
I sprayed Lysol disinfectant spray in all the dog houses 2 days in a row.

my wifes dog is a lil minature datsun who has got sick twice after eating from a dead hog.  she had the runs and puking as well.  she spent 2 days at the vet the first time on antibiotics as well as an IV.  The second time we knew what was going on so the vet gave us the antibiotics and IV and we took care of it ourselves.  Both of these hogs had been dead for awhile.  Im not sure the same thing would have happen if the meat was fresh.  I guess her immunes system wasnt that strong.  hope your dogs get better.
