YOU CAN CATCH PLENTY OF HOGS WITH JUST 1 OR 2 STRIKE DOGS AND A CATCH DOG. SOMETIMES WHEN I GO WITH 2 OR 3 FRIENDS WE WILL END UP WITH SEVERAL DOGS AND IT ALWAYS WORKS OUT AND WE HAVE A GOOD TIME, BUT TO MANY DOGS IS A PAIN IN THE BUT.

If you have more than 2-3 total dogs it is impossible to lead them out of the woods.

1 good cur dog and 1 bulldog and you can catch a pile of pork.

You lead your strike/bay dogs?

Marines I see as two breeds, Rottweilers or Dobermans, because Marines come in two varieties, big and mean, or skinny and mean. They're aggressive on the attack and tenacious on defense. They've got really short hair and they always go for the throat.

When I come off a bay and wanna go home, I'd better catch my dogs or they'll have relayed and theyll end up a mile out bayed off.  It makes it extremely difficult hunting more than one dog and a bulldog and having to walk out 1/2 mile deep after catching a hog.

Hunting by yourself I can see the difficulty getting more than two hunters and a catch dog out (3 dog lead and pick your path carefully). Hunting with one buddy and 4 hunters and a catch dog shouldn't be a problem. That's about the max I like anyway.

Yes I lead them out, unless I feel like hunting all day!  When Im by myself If I can catch them before they roll out again I dang sure do.  Catching them before they leave is easier said than done!
