These pictures are from a couple weeks ago, but we had a pretty good hunt. About twenty minutes after we turned out we heard Cleatus open on the first hog. Betty and Blue made it to the bay quickly to help out. We got close with the four wheelers and then walked in with the catch dogs until we got to where we could see the dogs working the hog back in some cedars.  The hog wasn't too big so I let the pup I'm start go first instead of catching behind my older dog. He did fine so we just sent the older dog behind him as we were coming in.   The strike dogs  rolled out on another hog as soon as the first catch dog hit. We got the hog legged and were just starting to drag it out when we heard them bay up again. The GPS said they were three hundred yards away so we marked the location of the first hog  and started moving their way. We found them baying a sow in a creek, so I decided I'd let Beetle, the older dog, catch first in the belly deep water and then send the younger catch dog after. We sent Beetle, then a second later, B.A., the pup.  Beetle ran into a deep hole in the creek so B.A. actually made it to the hog first and caught.  I handed off my cell phone and Garmin to my buddy and waded into the creek to help out and got the hog handled and drug back to where it was dry.  Betty and Blue had rolled out again and the hog was running bad. They were on it for an hour and couldn't get it stopped so we had to call them out, since I had to go pick up my oldest boy from school. We made it just as school was letting out, and got a few stares waiting to pick him up with a trailer load of dogs and a dead hog in the parking lot.

Loaded up and ready to go
