New Orleans Saints Defense maintained a BOUNTY PROGRAM!!

NFL determined that former Saints DC Gregg Williams administered the program with knowledge of other defensive coaches.

Discipline for the Saints could include fines, suspensions, and forfeiture of draft choices.

NFL investigation of Saints began in 2010 when allegations were made that Saints targeted QBs such as Brett Favre and Kurt Warner.

Bounty program =  Defensive players would be rewarded with incentives for injuring and/or knocking out a specified player on the opposing team.

So how do y'all feel about this? I'm up in the air about it. It's nothing that teams haven't already been doing in the past. When I think about it though Kurt Warner and Brett Favre got demolished in the playoffs back in 2010 and always on the ground constantly.

Every defensive end, linebacker & safety in the N F L is trying to take opposing players out of the game. You mentioned
the 2010 season and taking out Kurt Warner and Brett Favre . There were ruffed up because at that time the Saints defense
was clicking and the best in the NFL going into the playoffs. I've read plenty of interviews on past players from various teams that said they had some form of incentives among the team's defensive players for knocking players out of the game. I say tell the Saints to knock
it off with their little bounty game and move on. The chit about taking away Championships and draft pics is making a mountain
out of a mole hill.    This is not Pop Warner football, this is the NFL.

I'm the biggest Saints and LSU fan that ever lived. All I can say to the other teams is that they should get an offensive line that can protect a QB against a dang good defense. Let em play ball

Now the above comment is whats funny a dang good defense hardly 24th out of 32 in defense is pretty crappy actually lol. Want to see a dang good def try pittsburgh, baltimore, houston etc. The saints hardly and for LSU they showed true colors in championship. just for laughs

If they are paying extra for knocking a guy out of the game that is bs and they deserve to be punished.  Now for the betterment of the team etc heck yeah go for it if one guy is killing your defense then the defense better step up.  Take him out etc.  But money incentives is plain bs.

I think paying extra to injure players is wrong, and should be punished.  I think they should let them play and they shouldn't punish or flag good hits.  they have gone too far with saying a good hit is illegal.  it is football that is what makes it my favorite sport to watch. that is why they make the big bucks, at least i thought.  I think face mask is a legitamate penalty, and maybe horse collar takles too should be illegal.  I believe that you should be able to lead with your helmet and even spear if you want too.

i've seen good clean hits penalized and this is ruining football.  I think Troy Aikman touched on this saying something like it is all the pussy rules that are going to make football fall from the number one spot.
