Underdog and I went out to Cistern to make a hunt with Circle C, Ben and Tom yesterday. We caught 3 and a 1/4 hogs. one of which had a bad attitude. Within 30 minutes of dropping dogs they had a nice sow bayed. Bryants preacher man and my blackjack dog did their normal and rolled out a mile and bayed. we got 500 yards or from them and casted more dogs. We got in there and had a herd of baydogs hammering away. Let me tell you this was the prettiest bay I have heard to date. I really wish we could have videoed it for a while longer but it did NOT work out like that. I was letting my daughter lead peewee and one of the bystanders told her to let the bull dog go! And she listened!   anyhow it was a screwed up deal but in the end we caught the hog. peewee will be on vacation for a few weeks as a result. while patching a couple dogs up we had another bay and got her caught and somewhere in the mix a little guy got the axe as well. All in all it was a great day with great people. I had a good time Chris and Ben and thanks for the invite to God's country. It sure was nice to get away from the pine goblins for a day.

Cool video!!  3 Bulldogs and he still gets loose......I cant believe he even found a place to run with that many dogs in that creek bed!!

I counted 8 cur dogs and 3 bulldogs haha.  Good hogs fellas, it was a beautiful day to be in the woods.  Heard preacher man put on a clinic yesterday Bryant!

A little explanation on the number of dogs...

Preacher Man and BlackJack were bayed at ~ 1 mile.  As we headed to them, we had some other dogs clipped in on the buggies, and the young Brandy dog on the ground. As we got to about 500 yards or so from the bay, we stopped hearing the bay, but noticed the little Brandy dog acting "piggy", we dropped a few older dogs on the ground to her, and they left out. Next thing we hear is all of them sounding off on the boar.  Not sure if the hog broke on the other two dogs, or if they drifted into the creek bed and we couldn't hear them... At any rate, there were a lot of dogs that converged on that one hog.   I can't speak for the hog getting away from the creek bed, other than to say he's dead now.

Thanks Matt, I sure don't want to jinx myself or the dog but he just seems to get better and better every time he goes...don't seem like he has many "off" days....Tween him and Striker I'm pretty happy. And yes it was a dang nice day to be out.

the first one in the video is my peewee dog second is Bens Pit and third is Bryants White witch.

My daughter was leading peewee and un snapped him before anyone else was ready with the other bull dogs. This sucked I wish I could redo this hunt.
