When a sow has a litter of piglet how soon can you pull the piglets off her safely without worrying about anything?

The safest would be wen they stop milking lol but my friend has a 200 pound sow that he got wen she was 4 days old and she's still tearin shuff up

Anything will continue to milk as long as you let it. Thats why you pull pups, calves, and whatever else it is off their mommas at different times. I was looking for a window of time to where they are old enough to eat drink and not be dependent on the sow.

Never done pigs but would say when they start eating food unless you want to feed them with a bottle.

prolly about like pups 4-5 weeks old. my ole vet said when they get their teeth they can and will eat. just stick your finger in the lil piggies mouth and see if they have teef yet  |
