Well it has been a rough few weeks for me my pops has been real sick with cancer and was put in a hospital bed about two weeks ago. He passed away Monday night and we buryed him on Friday so needless to say i have been down in the dumps so I got a call from a buddy last Saturday afternoon and he told me that he had some hogs on the family ranch land rooting up their pasture. Went hunting last sunday caught 4 in 3 hrs off the property. Well after i buryed my pops on Friday he called friday night and said the hogs were back so i decided to make the best of the day. Loaded up saturday morning and headed out i had my old dog my tony shelly pup (boss) and my leroy pup. Boss is a youngun that is 16 months old that i got from tony shelly about 8 months ago and i have hunted him every time i have hit the woods he has steadly gotton better every time i have hunted him. We was roading the dogs in some plantation when i noticed Boss was about 300 yds to the west and he  was by himself. We roaded for a couple more hundred yards and killed the buggy looked at the garmin and noticed Boss was bayed he was about 800 yds we give the other dogs a coupe of minutes to get to him they were hammering got there and boy was i proud Bosses First Solo Strike and Bay.

We guessed him at about 325lbs
