Dang I`ve seen em climb but not that high Shocked you`ve got yourself a celebrity hog dog there  Grin mine will do that too (all I've gotta do is not feed em for about 3 days and then hang a game camera and tie a sirloin steak at the top of my kennel)!!!lol

He's 1/2 BMC 1/4 ridgeback 1/4 pit. He knows his job and does it well, the ear usually comes off before hell let go. He copies my gyp cur she climbes like this to lol. He doesn't like to stay in the pens that's why I fixed em like this.  When I used to coon hunt I had some walkers that would climb the trees after the coon, if the tree was right.

Get wire with smaller holes. That is why I have roofs too. Not that I have anything climb like that but I got some that can jump six feet up. I have heard of dogs getting their head stuck through the space between the side and the roof and getting killed. My cur dog tried to catch a squirrel on a tree branch over the six foot wooden fence one day. I watched as she jumped up and reached the branch that was at least seven feet up, the squirrel ran, and the dog hit the fence and landed on the other side. It was so funny because she was focused on the squirrel and did not know where she landed at first. Later she caught the squirrel for a snack Grin But it was real clear she can jump six feet up easy. I bet a lot of dogs can if they are motivated.

I have one cur that will climb out and one that can just flat jump to the top of a six foot fence. Hot wire around the top stopped broke em both

Hey dub I'll keep that in mind I made sure that he can't get his head in there. And he jumps half way up then climbs. Im thinking about making a weight vest and letting him jump.

I think it is goat wire that is made so they can't climb.

I used to have an ol coon hound like that. If you even left a ladder out she would be to the top of it. Hell I had to get her off the house one time when I leaned up an extention ladder when I was cleaning gutters!

If there was a ladder it didn't matter she was up it. She could always go up but then she would cry and bark till you got her down.

i got 2 that will climb a 6ft fence in the blink of an eye or they will push the dog houses around and use them for a faster escape. if they aint climbing, they are digging. these dang yellers must be 1/3 cur, 1/3 diller and 1/3 chimp.  Grin

That's good stuff. I had two walker coon dogs that just ran loose around the house Cus I couldn't keep em in a pen. They would still climb the dadgum kennel fences wen they were runnin loose! Lol
