Bought some used tenderfoot or the stuff they use in fancy farrowing crates from a guy up north. It is coated iron and heavy as hell but will last a lifetime. Easy clean up too. By wohleb12 at 2012-01-11

Looks like a waste of money to me. The poop will go right through and in small pieces too hard to pick up. I saw some kennels that had plywood floors. He said he just put Thompson Water Seal on them. Then could just wash the poop straight out the back into the pasture. I don't have a pasture but I am going with plywood for my temporary kennels until I move. Then it will be concrete.

I have a slab with a drain. I built the kennels up and just wash everything down. Spray the dogs off at the same time. Seemed like something I would be proud of. Never felt like a waste of money. Besides the dude asked.

I used something similar to that plastic flooring and I am happy with it. As for all the crap falling through that's the whole idea.

I was not trying to be rude. Sorry it came out that way. I am going to use wood off the ground and put a rain gutter on the back and have it go to a pipe and into the sewer. I was going to make a small septic system but the sewer is where poop goes and I just had pipes replaced and had a seperate access put in I can run over to Everyone has a different situation. I just like cheap and easy because I am a broke, lazy dude

I too use the tenderfoot product. Mine is the nursery tenderfoot. I raise pups on it. It works great.

Said to my self what the hell. They are gonna make me do something crazy like this sooner or later any way. So I bought a bunch and even put some of it up for sides.lol

that is a good product if you think ahead about cleanup . the crap will drop through and if you don't want flies and smell you heed to be sure that it is off the ground enough to rake under the kennel to remove the waist .

I like concrete...shovel the poop and wash down...less than five minutes per kennel.

I bought a whole bunch of it and Ray the guy that runs the outfit was a real good dude. He had it delivered on a load already coming this way. I paid the driver something too. But all told it's not that expensive for what you get. This flooring will last a while. I got enough to do 30 x 30 I make the runs 5x15 but I wouldn't mind making them a little bigger. It is easy to cut it or add to it to do what you need. The dogs do great on it, and I can clean them all in less than five minutes. He sells slush pans to go under it that some people use. But the clean up is so easy that I am glad I didn't spend the money. I feed a good feed and there really isn't much to clean. My dogs are little.

Thanks, for all the info . I saw this at atwoods and it was on sale for 8 dollars for a 2 by 4 foot sheet. Seems like it might be worth it.
