I have a male 3 year old 1/4 English 3/4 cur short range strike dog. I only call him short range because a lot of times his range varies. Some times he makes 200-250 yard loops when hunting and sometimes he makes 600-700 yard loops just hunting but he will consistently strike hogs if put in fresh sign. He has a lot of bottom when on a hog he has taken a hog over a mile before by himself and had it bayed when we got there. The only reason I'm getting rid of him is I hunt long range dogs and he doesn't consistently hunt out far enough for me. If he doesn't strike first he will honor a bay. $500.
