With the weather warming down here in the southeastern part of Texas...I have noticed that the feeding has dropped down by a third... more or less...

I am happy about that...less feed means less poop to clean up and less trips to the feed store and....less money spent on dog food... Smiley

I let the dogs out to run while I clean up the pens and yard...let them get a little excercise etc. etc. and socializing time with each other...makes for better teamwork in the field...

I start cutting back the feed when; dogs are getting fat...or when dogs are not eager to go to the pen when I am bringing the feed...or when they are leaving food in the bowl...

But it seems that the ratio of food and waste is not the same...did not take out the weight scale just an eyeball observation...it seems that cutting back the feed by one third that the waste should drop off by 1/3...it seems that the waste has dropped off more than the amount of feed reduction...maybe it is not so and if it is...then my theory is that less food intake means more time to digest even more of it, thus less waste...

so what about you out there...are you seeing the same results?

I have noticed the same... I just haven't broken it down that far. The dogs are for sure eating less, and making way less "waist". but man did I think I was observant though... LOL!  Wink You're getting down to kibbles n chits! LOL!  Grin

Reuben, I think you are right. I haven't cut back on feed yet but I have noticed that our dogs are getting a little thick.

Everything still normal in my dogs. I've only cut back on the puppy feed to trim them up some because I'm getting ready to start them. Catch dog still getting the same amount and looks the same. Could be due to the nice weather and puppies being in his yard all the time now. He's running around more, getting more exercise.
