 Anyone here have one? I got one from Mason's last litter. I hate the waiting game. She should be ready after summer to hit some hogs.

I believe it is a catahoula Dogo cross that Mr. Mason has been perfecting for about 15 years.

Yeah I think you are right. I just did a word search and thats what it looks like to me.

Sounds like a nasty cross for hogs to me.

i've seen 2 of his work and they're definitely nice dogs.....  he had 2 older ones (1 catchin and the other ready to start catchin) whenever i was over there last.  Rock(already catchin) and a female (don't remember name).   he may part with one.  never hurts to ask.  i know he kept 2 pups from the last litter he had so he get rid of one to make room for the starters pretty soon.

shoot him a PM or call him.

If you want to get rid of her I'll buy her back.

This is her litter mate sister;

If you would send me a picture I'll put it on the web site.

to Mr. Mason after 15 years breeding them do all the dogs stay 50/50 or do you introduce a pure bred every so often?

Mr. Mason,
    I am in no way looking to get rid of her. I was just seeing if anyone else on the site besides Richard has one. I will get a pic this weekend.

Nice looking dogs i like that cross a lot.

the pics don't really do em justice.  Apachie is one FINE lookin dog.  lotsa color to em.

and i've seen both Victor (sold) and Rock work and man i really like em.  real athletic dogs, with alot of leg, and they anchor real well.  i was surprised by how well they do cause every catch dog i've seen has always had a lot of size to em.  these dogs aren't small (they look to weigh 60-65lbs) but they ain't 80-100lbs either.  but man do they do their job.

Savoy,  I think you should send your pup to Pearland before you lose her too.  Wink

No, I never have, I have only used two Dogo females in the last 11 years and two Catahoula males and I have the right mix of manners, size, speed, and catch that I want.  I have found that I don't need a 100 plus catch dog and the think brush can be handled better by a 80 pound leggie fast dog.

Catch dogs are like any dogs, just depends on what you like.

Here is a pic of my Catdo from Doug Mason.  This is a full belly brother to Doug's catchdog Victor.  He has been a great catch dog and he can get to a bay pretty quick.  Enjoy!
