I've lost one garmin and I'll be damned if I lose this new one.  All I need to figure out now is the best (most secure) way to tote it around, putting it in your pocket is a no no. I've seen some guys use mule tape and hang it around their neck and I've seen some nylon carrying cases that ride on your belt.

What are you guys using?

I wa scared to death of it falling from my pocket when I carried one, it was not mine which was worse!

So I carried it in my pocket but ran the strap through the dog leash I was wearing, so when it did fall out, it never hit the ground it was still attached and swung back and hit me as a reminder!

i was thinkning about using one of the bra type bino holders and some how attaching it. that way the screen will be facing your chest at all times. you can tilt it back and have a look and keep your hands free.

mule tape around my neck, also have a case with velcro  to keep it in in the truck to keep from getting it scratched up, i also engraved my cell # on the side of it , just incase some one would find it but not likely in the woods.

tracker makes a good carrying case for their trackers, the garmin hand held fits well in them to, won't fall out even when running and stuff, you can get them pretty cheap on e-bay

Conkey's Hound Supply has a "Dan's" material bag made for them.  The Dan's material is what the coon hunters use.  It is briar proof.  Don't get the velcro version that they make.  I never trust velcro with high dollar equipment.  They are selling a new version that has a hard snap.  It words great.  It has two size belt loops on the back of the holster.  I have had no problems with this style holster for the Garmin Astro.
