My wife has a keltec now and while it is a good beater gun the trigger pull kills her accuracy so looking for something that preferably is easy and reliable in a 9mm not cheap but not real expensive.  I'm not real experienced with semi auto handguns and a little out of date on them. Buddy said go with a kimber solo.  Figured maybe get a couple more suggestions.

Guys look at it and realize how ugly you are and feel sorry for her.  It takes a good woman to marry something as ugly as you is what they're thinking j/k with ya Noah

I'd never give my wife a gun, I'd be the first victim and my dogs would probably the second victims

Colt, I carry a Taurus Millennium .9mm, and I love my gun, but it has the longest, and hardest trigger that I have ever had. A friend of mine has a Ruger .9mm that I LOVE to play with. Tap taps are incredibly easy with it. Might look at one of those?

I carry a Taurus .380

Works great for me, and easy to conceal.

A gunsmith can do a little trigger work on most guns. Don't try it yourself it can be too much of a hair trigger. You really have to be careful with the semiauto or as soon as you get it loaded it might unload. Call gunsmiths and ask how much. As long as the gun is accurate then fix the trigger.

Mandi carries a S&W 59 in a 9mm, or a Uberti .357, basically a Colt SAA.

Had a Kel Tec in the past, but have opted for full size handguns these days. We also keep some Taurus .357 mag snub nose pistols around in various places.

Dub, I have talked to a couple of different gunsmiths, and they all say that the Millennium trigger is a you get what you see trigger. They all said that it doesn't matter what you do, they are next to impossible to make a huge change in it.

Purebreed, I had the same problem. I was carrying a smith and wesson 38 revolver, and the trigger pull killed that gun form me. I shot several semi automatic handguns and found that I was the most accurate (and really enjoyed shooting) the Springfield xd 9mm. A gun with a little bit of weight works best for me-- don't know if your wife is the same way or not, but I hope this helps!!

Girlfriend has a judge with 4-10 slugs. She's had it for a year and a half and still hasn't pulled the trigger one time but I've killed a few snakes with it and it's a cool cool gun.
