Buddy has a pit and a dogo. Just use the dogo for help. Doesn't hit like the pit but catches and holds once hog is caught. Great help but to timid for lead

i have hunted around a fine dogo catch dog, not the fastest or most agile dog but if u walk him close to the bay and send him it is a caught hog. with his size he cant get into some of the tight spot the hogs bay up in but if u do get him in i feel very confident going in behind him because i have never seen any hog shake or knock him off and he has a few big ones under his belt Wink

If its big enough for the hog, its big enough for the dog, if the hog is smaller than my dog, I don't want that one anyway lol. As for speed, I would put money on my male against about any pit. I won't claim that they are more agile than a pit, because I know thats not true and just defies the law of physics, but raw speed, there isn't a comparison. Actually raced him against a pit the other day, it was deuces second 300 yard sprint back to back in 80 degrees and I wouldn't have even called it a race, the pit was sucking dust.

This is deuce about two months ago (don't have any recent pictures that you can see his body well)...he flys

I guess I'm pretty lucky too. My dogos have decent noses, run fast as all get out, and really enjoy put teeth on a pig.
They are 2 of the most enjoyable dogs I've ever owned. My only complaint would be - there are a few out there that really seem to mature very slow, try your patients sometimes but once they start calming down, they will do anything you want them to do.

Well with legs twice as long as a pits, he better be able to outrun him!!!  Grin

hits like a truck, VERY ATHLETIC w/ great endurance (as in better than any pit  Shocked lol), holds clean(hardest thing to find imo), great with any dog & yard animials, great with kids, very diverse to hunt with even though I mostly lead into a 100 yards shes good at stopping a runner, takeing her own track, hood a crop field, gets to the bay from anywhere etc
