The Bear Pen Rio Grand Roper is a very popular dog in the plott world.  I belive the guy to answer your questions is Steve Fielder.  Go to plottdogs.com  I dont know much about the other dogs in the ped.

I have heard most of those names but looks like to me they are mostly for show, but you never know. The bear pen stuff is big game, but like arrowbar said the bottom side is coon bred.
The plottdog.com site is down right now. You could go to coondawg.com or biggame houndsman in the plott breed section at the bottom to find out more.

yes it does sound like a big name bred plott, but it takes more than a few names to make a great dog.

I have had and coon hunted  plotts for the last 10 yrs and very familiar with these lines.  Mark breeds mostly for show, but he does coon hunt them also.  The roper dog comes from a long line of producing big game dogs  whom also have made nice coonhounds.  Annie goes back to sizzlin heat.  Track dogs with speed. The county line terrible tuesday dogs go back to Gr.Nite Morgans Bayou Jake, and Sizzlin Heat. Jake was a super hound whom done his fair share of winning in the hunts.  All the blood in the pedigree are proven on both big game and coon.  I have seen several out of the sizzlin heat blood run on hogs and they would flat get it done.  Speed and grit to spare.  Good luck!!
