On the one that I did, I used peroxide and then when the peroxide did all it could do, I soaked it in bleach and let it dry in the sun. I did the bleach a couple of times. I'm sure there are some better methods out there but this one is cheap and worked pretty good.

Soak it in 50/50 bleach and water overnight with a little dawn soap ( Degreases it for yah ) Then set it one a post for a day or two to get the stank out and dry. Then go to your local hair salon and get some liquid peroxide for bleaching hair. Not the stuff for a cut. Then take a small brush and a dixie cup half full and go to town brushing it on and she'll look purtey.

Yea soaking it N Bleach a couple times will do it, I've never tried it But i think it would look BadA$$ if u can tape off the tusk r something to protect it from getting Bleached when u soak the skull. The skull will B white But the tusk will B dark & ruff looking, just an idea.

If you wanted to accomplish that, you just soak it in plain water for 3 days then pull all the teeth. Bleach everything, then re add the teeth

Hydrogen peroxide will get it white. Bleach tends to turn yellow over time and the bone becomes brittle. You can buy a DIY kit from Van dykes taxidermy or any supply house online for around 25 bucks. You may not get the pearly white results with that skull due to the discoloration. Last year I started sinking heads in my catfish pond behind the house. All I have been doing is skinning 'em back and throwing them into a steel trap. A week later I take them out and they look professionally done. I'll try to post pics later of this technique later.

I wouldn't use bleach. I would first try to degrease it as much as possible. Simmer (don't boil) it in water with some dawn dish soap for a good while til  the grease is gone. You may have to do it several times. Then get you some peroxide from Sally's beauty supply. This is what I use for hog skulls.

And this for extra whitening and touch ups

I saw a skull that was painted by a artist . It looked better than any plain white skull I have ever saw. It was brushed black and gold with a swamp background look. The next big one I get I will have it painted.
