I was wandering if there s a way to train ur dogs to bay tighter because I heard it help in the woods and In a contest. And any other tips for doing contest. Thanks

Baying tight in competition - good, woods - uhh... Not so much. I consider tight nose to nose or up to two feet max. This probably wouldn't work out well in woods. As far as training a dog to get tight I suggest a help dog that bays that way. If that's not available start with a real easy pig, you want the dogs to build their confidence up and eventually catch it but make sure you break up the catch QUICK and have another pig that's bigger and cant be caught on stand by ready for the next run. This next pig should have some gritt but not be so bad that it will wreck your pups/dog. If it does then your back to square one. As far as judging check the general discussion forum on page 2 or 3. Titled bay competitions or something like that.
