Phil is easily my favorite personality on the show. I like how he gets the grand kids involved and even uses them to poke fun at his own kids.

Y'all can hate on Willie if you want but the boyfriend episode gave me a whole new level of respect for him as a father

After reading these posts, I set the DVR to record 6 episodes last night.  Me, the wife, and my 11 year old daughter just had a 3 hour marathon and I don't recall that we've ever laughed as much as we just did.

Great show. Not a lot of "bleeping" the cuss words.  Just a great show all the way around.

Yeah, a very enjoyable show.  Sure, some of it is scripted, and poorly acted, but you can tell that much of it is just them being the way they are.

I do like Phil.  Simple.  No BS.  Does what he wants and that is it.  Jase has a dry sense of humor that I enjoy too.

One othe observation.  Have you noticed how Willie and Jase call their parents by their names?  They don't call them mom & dad.  They call them Kay and Phil.  That makes me smile.  I always insisted my children call me by my name.  They could refer to me as their dad, but that is not my name.  Now my wife didn't agree, so they tend to call her mom.
