Wanting to work with some galvanized pipe. Question is what is the absolute best thing to Repainting or redip the welded joints with to help prevent rust. Even if once a year or every other to recoat with. Urine is one factor. Thanks.

not 100% sure if there is something better but I have used cold galvanize spray and it works great...just clean it up good before spraying...

Yes after the weld is done run a wire brush around it and hit it with the cold galv spray. It available at most any welding shop and I may have seen it at tractor supply before.

Sure thing just clean it up with a wire brush. I use a wire wheel on a grinder.

Brite zinc, made by Brite products.
It is what my galvanizing plant uses to touch up material. Pretty sure it conforms to astm a123 hot dip galv.

Yep what he said. We used the same thing at the mill when we did galvanize. Jd Stop by the shop sometime. We done a ton of galvanized welding and by that by the case. |
