Duck Dynasty puts hunting in a good light. Since Duck Dynasty is such a big hit across the U.S. that maybe it will help to preserve hunting rights. Maybe not our particular sport but hunting as a whole.

I am watching them on the Wendy Williams show right now. Lots of good publicity.

 I cant get enough.

This is true. I think that if Duck Dynasty just showed them going out and shooting ducks that it wouldn't be so popular. The show is more about the family and family values which are hard to come by on tv these days. Plus the funny antics of Uncle Sy.

They came close with the hog hunting show that had the Campbell's on it. But they needed more family interaction and less hog wrangling. LOL.

Duck Dynasty speaks of hunting but they actually don't show any killing on the show. I don't think that the general public wants to see the actual taking down of an animal.

Agree. Sy is funny but jace cracks me up, he has my work ethic lol, wasn't to fond of the cambells but there were much worse on tv.

I think ur spot on with your last paragraph.

You're right dj, if the show was all about duck hunting I don't think it would be as popular. In the early 80's Phil came out with a VHS tape
that he sold along with his duck calls. It was called "The Duckmen". Whew they had some killing on there. I think they hit a home run with
the way the show is done. My wife can't wait for Wed. nights. Uncle Si is her favorite. I've done got in the habit of using the word "Hey"
too much, but hey, so what Grin

Have you ever seen their hunting show Dinah? It's on one of the outdoor networks, or was for a few years....it's called 'Duck Commander'....they did a lot of hunting on it, but it was done with taste and was also quite entertaining. I finally got to see Duck Dynasty and was impressed with it. You're right about the hunting on it, most of the general public would think it too bloody. However they did kill a couple of snakes last night on it though. Phil is a fine man I think....I would consider it an honor to get to meet him. I remember one of his famous quotes on Duck Commander was this: "I'm more inerested in Biblical correctness than political correctness." He had my respect from that day on.

Agreed.  A quality show.  Enjoyable to watch.  Hunting is only the backdrop for showing real family interaction.

Thats the best show going good family show. I think the problem trying to make a good hog show is most people dont have land to be able to hunt. i know everyone complains about the hogs but as soon as you say can i go hunt them with dogs they say no. i don't get it but i live with it.
