I have a 1 yr old this is her first heat. She was not swollen at all on Monday the 28th. On Tuesday the 29th. she was extremely swollen
and drops of blood on the concrete floor in kennel. She discharged blood drops for the first day only. She is still very swollen but no blood drops since the first day.
Her mother which is 3 yrs old became extremely swollen about the same time but has not dripped one drop of blood at all. My past experience has been 10 days after the first bleeding they are ready to breed on days 11 through 18 more or less.
I am not too much worried about the young one, I am not wanting to breed her, but I would like to breed her mother. Without her dripping a drop of blood will we be able to tell when is the right time to breed her ?  Will they go through a heat cycle swollen to the max but not ever dripping blood ?
