Well we got hogs on all the islands except for lanai and every island got a different style in terms of dogs and breed of dogs... I live on oahu which is the hardest island to hunt because the shortage of places to hunt and the amount of hunters....the pigs on oahu are all runners and in hawaii its all forests and jungle so its hard hard hunting.... Here on oahu the majority of hunters run ruff ruff dogs cuz the pigs jus run...alota oahu hunters run ridgeback x, airedale x, pharoah hound x, bird x bull.....i personally run pharoah hound, ridgback, greyhound, bulls...... Real ruff, good nose, and alota prey drive...Good crosses to stop dem running hogs......ill try post some pics later.......now on the big isalnd is where everybody runs alot of baying dogs like catahoulas, heelers, kelpies, bmc, and so on ..... Alot of big pigs there and the pig tend to bay up there so they mostly run baying dogs but like everywhere else pigs learn quick and the pigs start turning into runnahs.... A big pig on oahu would be between 130-180 dressed weight..... We dont have monster pigs but we got pigs wit tusks!!!! The other islands got big pigs 200+ dressed  weight......Its tuff hunting down here but the guys with good dogs catch and the posers jus hike lol if u know wat i mean!!!!
