My dog rubbed the hair off around his eye and its slow growing back, is there anything i can give him or do to speed up the hair growth. He is not rubbing the eye anymore he was rubbing cause of the food i was giving him, his is hypoalleric i switch him back to the old food now for 3 weeks rest of the hair came back good just around his eye is slow. When i hunt him it gets all beat up around his eye so his been on the bench for 2 weeks now.

Get you a tube of Nu-Stock. It is sulfur based. Most feed stores carry it. Nothing will make hair grow back quicker. Great stuff.

It's around the eye. don't put nothing on it. It will irritate the eye
And he'll go back to rubbing on it.

2x, but don't get it in your dogs eyes.

This is only my personal experience with it, but I had a catahoula with mange and when I tried to put it around his eye, it irritated the eye and made the situation worse. Try whatever you feel like but is it mange?

Oh sorry, I should read harder.
In that case I sure as heck wouldn't put nothing on it. If its allergies, your doing right by changing his food.

I had a pup with a big bald spot on his side that wasnt gettin bigger but wasn't gettin smaller either, i  started spraying vetericyn on it daily and it was gone in under 2 weeks, might give it a try.

X2 on the vetericyn.  It's safe as water and can be used around the eyes. It's pricey but I use it for all irritations or cuts on my dogs.

If it wasn't around the eye I'd use NuStock or Corona ointment, but since it is, I'd use Vetricyn too....

The hair should grow back on it's own though since it was allergen related. Some areas just take alot longer.
