Living the good life.

What dog is caught wearing the vest, looks like he is a bird dog cross?

that dog was named Chowder. To be honest i have no idea what cross he was. If i had to guess he was probaly 1/4 bulldog, 3/4 leopard dog of some sort. He was a fine catch dog. Real smart with a pile of grit. Unfortunately my catch dogs don't last to long

Lifes tough on catchdogs when you catch big hogs on a regular basis.

I've been extremely blessed to have the opportunity to have the rights to the places I hunt. We have caught a pile of big hogs and have owned some fine dogs. I'm hunting Thursday and Friday morning, and then again Saturday night at a real good place that i haven't hunted in about a year and we should do pretty good. If we catch some decent ones i put some more pics up

I'm guessing the pic of the hoof is to show that the hoof has no spilt and if so does that happen often

H.Wilson, that is a mule footed hog. We have quite a few of those down here. They originally came from the Spaniards

about 12-15 years ago at one of the places i hunt regularly the owners of the ranch decided they wanted to cut a bunch of boar hogs. within a 6 month period there were over 300 boar hogs cut. i wish i had taken pictures of all the big barrs we caught, but truthfully i havent started taking pictures until a couple years ago, and even now i sometimes forget to take them
