As a precaution you want to spray enough perm solution to get the job done but don't drench a dog in it.  Perm poisoning isnt common but if you overdue it then it can happen.  If so bath the dog immediatly in dawn dish soap and keep them warm.  Perm poinsoning attacks the nervous system and a dog can go into hypothermia.  Siezures can also occur.  Do NOT use perm on cats, its extremely toxic to them.

Very possible, apparently its pretty potent for them.

Its also supposed to be extremely toxic to aquatic life.  So if you have a kennel with run off towards to a pond, might want to consider another option for a perimeter spray.  Neem oil works well for this, all natural.  Just doesnt have the stopping power of perm, its a good safe deterrent though.

Click on product label on the side when you get to the link. Probably the most known and expensive flea/tick treatment on the market. Only thing your looking for is the ingredients.

I work at a vet, the 3 best things we sell are Trifexis (monthly heartworm/flea/intestinal parasite control tablet), Comfortis (monthly flea tablet), which yall have mentioned already, and Frontline-the topical that does fleas and ticks.  If there is a significant environmental population of fleas, it can take over 3 months of continuous pet (EVERY dog and cat) and environmental treatment to see any decrease in the fleas due to their life stages/cycles.  We always recommend year round flea prevention since the good ole state of Texas never gets cold enough long enough to kill the pupae/egg stages of their life.  Environmental control doesn't mean treat your whole 5+ acres: shady spots, under decks and where the animals mainly are is sufficient enough to put a dent in the problem, while treating the animals.

Comfortis is FANTASTIC but may not be so econominal for those who have a higher number of dogs. I use it on my two dogs that stay indoors with me so we don't get any fleas in the house.
