Ok don't know much about lines of pits well know basically nothing but been looking at different lines of especially older lines and seen some dang fine looking colby bred dogs.  They look about that 60lbs or so range.  Does this sound right and does anyone know any breeders that breed the larger size of pits 60 to 65 lbs but with good lung etc game bred dogs if this size range.  I just don't like the smaller dogs just not my style.

dont know anything about colby lines or any other line, but i have had excellent luck with ab/pit crosses & dogo/pit crosses as far as lung capacity and drive.  i dont personnaly care about the lineage to much, just look at if mom and dad catch and how the dog is built.  not really answering your question, but figured i'd put in my 2 cents.

I agree on the dogo/pit and ab/pit but if this dog turns on I will probally breed him and I don't want no dogo blood.  Done been ruined on dogo blood.  I have my cross that will have plenty of lung but want to keep a lead in around and if I am going to do that I want a great one.  A lot of guys strive for great strike dogs I am a little different I want that great cd.  I have hunted with too many pos cds.

Colby line is about like any other well known line.  You have your good and bad.  Colby dogs have a deep history to them and are one of the most well know family of APBT.  Ive seen some on the larger side, not all though.  Most important thing is the source.  There are many "paper breeders" that are breeding colby dogs.  For the best results find a performance breeder of the line, preferably an actual hunter but one involved with wt. pull or shutzhound will also be maintaining working traits and give you a better shot at a cd prospect.  From what ive seen there aren't many, but they are out there.
