PLP- thanks man and honestly i don't know the line, the guy i got him from his name is david i traded a plott coon hound for the two pups i dont know a whole lot about the guy except he hunts with larry parker seems like a cool dude. but they arent registered. he said the daddy came from hog stock and to my knowledge he is still in the woods he said the dad is super rough.

just thought i would give them a try kinda going out on a wing.

The very first video I posted was of Sunny, she is the bigger one. I think she was 10 or 11 weeks. The smaller of the two, Bunny, didn't know what was up that first time, but I worked with her at the house with a mink hide and she loved it. The next time I took them they were right around 12 weeks, an that's the video with both of them. Hunted them twice lately, but haven't gotten on anything. They are fun little dogs and definitely game!

justin- i do have them together at the moment so i should def put them in different kennel huh?! i have two gyps

plp-i'll post some how the hell do you post pictures on here?

sanman- yes mine are litter mates to and i have one thats smaller and she is actually the one that is showing the most work the other one kinda follows what she does so that might help her out as well.

If i were you i would seperate em immediately because i promise you ain't never seen 2 dogs fight like jagds fight! Even uf you only have 1 kennel and this means you gave to go buy another it will still save you money.....first fight vet bill here was almost 800$ whdn said and done......

I would also block the bottom 2 foot with something solid that they can't see each other with, females may be different then males when it comes to fighting but my males would fight through the fence, id hate for em to get into it and loose teeth to chainlink. I think you will be very happy with em, mine were good dogs, sometimes ornery and a pain in the arse but good all the same!

Hold them out of the woods until they are 6-7months old.  They will do the job at 4months but their mouth will write some checks their bodies cant cash.  They will also chase a pig through water and wont quit, young jagds have a tendency to drown while trying to bay pigs in water.  That is another reason to hold them till they are over 6mo.  It gives their body time to catch up in physical ability to their "kill, kill" mental abilty!

In a training pen never put them on a hog that is smaller than 4X their size(they dont need a lot of pen work).

Lean mean killing machines. As long as they are occupied they don't seem to get real bad fightIng other dogs . I named my first alleys blitzkrieg ( alleys lightning war) even though it's a knight hunt dog. If they start fighting another dog don't act excited just pull em off it will make go nuts if you yell at em. They get a Viking blood crazed look in there eyes on game and most will die before they back up. You put em on hog you better be reAdy because it's liable to get ugly.i love em but agree their not for everyone definitely put em on a aggressive pig first. They will not last long otherwise also keep a shock collar on em when hunting. Just in case because if they get their fighting blood up they feet tunnel vision.
