About teo days ago my old man jack quit eating.  He doesnt even want his food.  Im able to get him to eat cheese and some of his food if i put gravy on it,  but he throws is up.  Hes lost a bunch of weight in threes days so i treated him for tapes just in case.  One of my gyps is in heat, but ive never had an issue with him not eating when one has been in before.  This is my best dog and one of my all ime favorites so the thought of losing him has me up at night.  Really need yalls help!

How old is he? If he isn't keeping his food down I suggest you take him to the vet since this is a severe cause of dehydration.

Just went out to chek on the dog and found my other three had puked up their food.  While i was standing there cussin tractor supply's dog food my girlfrined tells me the dogs dug up a hog head and were chewing on it friday afternoon.  She decided the bull panel covering it was better suited as reenforcement to keep jack from her gyp.  So im sure he has an upset stomach and the two days of no food on top of bein a hard keeper and helpin.  As long as ge stays hydrated i think im gonna give him Another day or two before the vet.  Any ideas on what i can do to ease their stomachs?

Just keep the sucker hydrated and that food poisoning will run it's course...  no cure for that, if that's what it is... just have to survive it... I know from experience lol... why I don't eat my wife's meatloaf anymore haha  Grin

when I got food poisoning, only thing that helped was pro-biotics(good bacteria)... if I tried to eat food it just made me sicker...  lived on pro-biotics/Dan-active for almost a week and a half

Yogurt and a bland diet.....chicken bouillon cubes and white rice is great....

Also, Famotadine tabs (you can find a WalMart or any drugstore) is AMAZING for helping settle their stomach. We used that allll the time for clients whose dogs had GI upset to get them to eat again.....
