I have been looking at the ATVs ever time I go to Tractor Supply and they seem alot tuffer that buying a gas golf cart. I dont want to spend brand name money for a Mule, or other brand name. Also I dont need that much power. Any feed back would be helpful.

You get what you pay for. Thats my oponion go with a rhino or mule you will be happier in the long run

I just cant justify buying a Rhino or mule when I could buy a used Toyota, or Jeep for that price. Or I could just go buy a new truck and turn my paid off truck into a 100% hunting truck.

i agree with clay L3 you get what you pay for, but im with you on the price i would rather buy a used jeep or somethin like that. at least that way you can drive in to your hunting spot.

WHAT KIND OF WARRANTY COMES WITH THE RHINOS? I SAW THIS POST THE OTHER DAY AND WHEN I WENT AND GOT DOG FOOD AT TS I STOPPED AND LOOKED. YOU CAN GET ONE FOR 3750 AND ADD ANOTHER 500 DOLLARS FOR A 3 YEAR WARR. THE ONE OF THE THINGS I DIDNT LIKE ABOUT IT WAS THAT I COULD PUSH IT OVER ON ITS SIDE IF I WANTED TO (EASILY). THAT WOULD BE ONE CONCREN AND A CONSITANT WEAKENING ENGINE.

That's true also... but if you break down... you're stuck. Shocked That's always my concern when I drive a truck and hunt out of it offroad. Mule, Rhino, Ranger, Prowler, Tyrex - You pay a premium for them, but I believe you get what you pay for in ATV's and UTV's |

i agree totally on the breaking down part i was just stating that if you couldn't bring yourself to pay tha extra for a rhino then i would go with a 2nd truck before i bought one for ts.

I have to agree with everyone on you get what you pay for. Having said that you can always buy a used UTV and save money on a qualitt product, I see them for sale all the time. It also depends on what kind of country you hunt. I have a Toyota and a mule. The yota is ideal for open areas and grain fields. But when you hunt in the woods you need something smaller and the mule is ideal for that. If I was just hunting primarily open country with roads I would only have the yota, hard to beat shade and A/C for 1/2 the cost and if you need to get real serious about your off-roading you can always load it on a trailer and take it where you need to and haul it home if something breaks.

You can get a truck for close to the same price but the rhino has so much more use than a truck. That rhino will go almost any where a 4 wheeler will. I have run it all over swamps and bottoms only been stuck 3 times and bothe times i was burried up to the seat Winched it out with a 4 wheeler. You cant do all that with a truck. They are also less damaging to the enviroment then a truck. Trucks are just to heavy. Now with all that said if its dry where you hunt and no mud truck is the way to go....its got A/C  |

I can tell you one thing, Chris, Matt and Clay can get thier UTV's in places a man can hardly get through on foot. Even the ol' camo short bus impressed me with it's ability. I ever get caught up, I'll bite the bullet and have one of my own( or Jo's I guess).  |

I run the minitruck every day but do hunt off a 4-wheeler also. Mini truck is the thing for running and baiting traps, nice bed and will go just about any where with heat and air, I like it.

if you're willing to spend $4k i'd do like Matt said and look around for a used one. you can find em pretty regular. if you're hunting mostly south texas, i'd go the mini truck route. the one Mr. Mason has is super nice, and you can't beat A/C right about now, especially come June, July, and August. JMO.

Something else that I would look at would be, the availability of parts.
I had a buddy by a off brand wheeler for his daugter and he has a hard time finding parts for it.

i got a mini truck, polaris utv, and a ts utv i bought for the kids. the ts utv is just to small to hunt with unless your gonna pull a trailer, plus after about a week it sounds like a diesek truck going through the brush cause everything rattles on it. as far as fixing it, i found it easier to put on a new motor than to find parts. try to find u a used polaris or rhino. if ur ever in uvalde theres 5 mini trucks 4x4 for sale for 3950.

I had a Mule and it was great for hunting larger places where you will be riding for hours on end. It did not rut a place up if it was wet, it was convient to jump in and out of, you can get places you can't get in a truck, if you get stuck it in the mud you could still get home, plus if you were set up right you can have all you gear in there ready to go... just hook up and you know you got it all.
I paid $8K for the Mule brand new in 05 with the lift and tires. I sold it not too long ago for $5K. Did an couple oil changes, a fuel filter, and that was it. I was pleased with the return I got for my money.
Now I only have grain fields to hunt that are smooth and can be easily driven in a truck. I run a field then bounce to another, and another, and maybe double back. The mule was not needed any more and it is more convienent to hunt out of the truck.
It just depends on what you are hunting and how you hunt. As for TSC side by sides... you get what you pay for. If you shop around you can find really good deals on used UTVs with VERY LOW hours.

i have a rhino with the big wheel kit it will go anywhere i have a buddy with the mini truck 3in lift and and the big four wheeler tires and he can go anywhere i go we drove down the river 10 miles one day we didnt have any troubles with either
