Well it was the first rattle out of the box . Caught on the other side of a bayou full of gators . So I looked at the 320 with the Birdseye on it and realized they were straight across from a pier . While trying to get out of all the clump grass the Tyrex got hung up . Myself , a buddy and his wife made it to the pier while the rest struggled with the buggy that  was stuck . So we made the decision to make the swim , the dogs were all taking turns with the hog . As we were about to get in the water it drug the dogs up the bank and we could finally see the hog it was a lot bigger than it sounded . I took of my boots and long sleeve and headed out , my buddy was coming to but left his long sleeve on and boots . He only made it a 1/4 of the way and had to turn back do to the weight of the boots and long sleeve . So I made it across and they were just getting further away . Once I finally made it to them he was a lot bigger than I was expecting . Well after the swim and walk this fat boy was doing some dry heaving and puking from all that plus eating skeeters . They had him caught for a while before I got there. I cut of the head and started back , that lasted only 30 foot maybe and dropped it . I made it back to the water to cool down . Then the best part of the night was not being sure if I had it in me to swim back . So I had to Bear Grylls it ! Took off my jeans cinched up the waste with the belt lifted it out of the water so it would trap air and twisted the legs to trap the air and floated back across ! Worked GREAT, just a FYI ! All in all a eventful night ! My wife loves the story"not really" !

It was a hell of a night that's for sure but we got that ole bo hog caught and that's all that matters and it made me take the boat out the next morning to go get the head and take some pics the best thing about the hole thing was my Cuzzen was not to far from us in his boat fishing and I never though

Well I'm glad to see that another poor soul gets wet come winter,....I seem to find water over my boots as soon as it comes the first frost. Dang good hog man,.....and good story too. Glad you brought out the 'Bear' in you and made it back across.

Already decided that I'm gonna add one of those boat bumpers to my must haves on the hunt. Then I could have floated myself and the head back .
