So me and Lee loaded up and went to hunt with a friend on his place this mornin'... kicked his dogs out just after daylight, bayed 2 lil' sows up and didn't do CHIT for the rest of the day hahaha... but the dogs got their excercize on a beautiful property and we got to enjoy good old Florida for one more day ...  Wink

Second lil' sow of the morning, CD in training wasn't real sure about it lol...

Finally got frustrated and dumped the box hahaha... between theirs and ours, all we were able to accomplish was smoking everything lol... It was WAAAAY too hot to be hunting so we caught up and headed to Jamie's own private underground spring fed swimming pool!!!  Grin  That's how we roll in FLORIDA ya know!!!  Wink Grin

The story on this "cenote"(lime rock sink hole which connects to the underground cavern system/aquifer), is that back in the early 30's... a man was driving along on a tractor and accidentally "discovered" this little spot... by FALLING THROUGH!!!!  lol.... Shocked Grin  Very cool sink, with an overhead arch quite rare in these parts!

Having not brung my swim shorts... let's just say, "I made due" lol...  Grin   The spring at the bottom of the cenote was crystal ass clear....  the deep edge of which was at least 30' and continued into a BIG cavern which I intend on coming back with proper dive gear to investigate!!!  Wink Grin  ... as with many private old ranch springs like this, they have been guarded for so long, many have never been explored AT ALL... a great many artifact has been found in this type of spring....from mastadon bones, to paleo artifacts, to Spanish gold... nothing better than being the first diver to explore something like this...

Noah, y'all anywhere around Sebring? First hog dog hunt I ever went on was down there. Had a blast, and it was cool country over there.

There was a bareback rider that came here to college with us, and we went down there for our Mardi Gras break one year. Had a blast. We hunted a big ranch right on the river, and that was some cool country to see. We caught a bunch of hogs in those three days. Was a blast.
Funny story, best girl fight, and longest grand entry I have ever seen was in Bonifay. Had a good time that weekend, lol.

Lol. Been to Kissimmee, okochobee, and down to davie, back in them days. Spent some good times down on the Big Cypress! Had an Indian guy spent a couple years over here with us roping steers. That is definitely a country in itself.

That is way too cool, I didn't know those existed in Florida!  Have you ever dove / fossiled in Peace River?  We have found some neat stuff there and my mom has some neat stuff out of the Kissimmee River as well.

That is unreal.......I had no idea that such a spring existed in Fla. that was in ROCK.....I thought it would be all sand. I'm telling you Noah,....I couldn't stand it until I got back there with some dive gear and explored that thing....there's no telling what's in there.....be sure to let us know what you find....I can't wait......that sort of thing fascinates me to no end.
