Great boar!  Definately a trophy worthy of a full mount.

Dirty Dog you are exactly right man.  He rolled out right after the hog was stuck and didnt return untill we were back at the truck and already had the hog loaded up.  I told my dad the same thing.  You know most people , including myself , sometimes give the catch dog all the credit when if it werent for the strike dogs the catch dogs wouldn't be able to catch .  LOL  he said yeo your right.   But your right he is the one that needs the credit . . .  Grin

Marvin,

My dogs will stay with them, but soon as we get within 200 yards or so they will break and run.  I need some of the Tomahawk Catch dogs for long range work.

I have a few fotos of him from our trip to Marvin.

That Boots is FAST, is build to run! the first thing I noticed about him is that he has some pointer look in his build.

Ive seen those hogs down there flat out run a cur dog in open country on more than one occasion.  If they decide to run you really dont have a very good chance of catching them.  That hog decided to stop and fight for some reason or another.  Just glad there was two catchdogs and some rough curs to help them out or otherwise the dogs would have been in a bind for sure.
