Man Russ, 15 -20 degrees hotter, Dry, and when I say dry I mean dry they said 2/10 of an inch since last year, and super hard for a dog to work a track, let alone find sign , and yes that was the ranches quail rigs, also makes a good hog rig!LOL

Trust me, when I go full bull into hog hunting (Stupid college... Shocked Wink Grin) I plan on finding a 3/4 ton quail rig for cheap!!! Yea it sucks down here, crops are shot and for a class project collecting plants had to drive from Kingsville to bee and Goliad County to find plants that still blooming........ WTH?Huh?

And if you want rattlers come in Feb.... see more then than any other month hands down

Hey WDK,

I need a copy of all your pics from this hunt. I sure had a good time running around with you guys in that brush! Thanks again for inviting me bud.
I sure am glad we don't have to hunt it every weekend though! Im still pulling thorns and cactus spikes out of my dogs!
The South Texas brush country can sure humble a hunter and his dogs that's for sure!

Russ, those quail rigs were perfect for hunting hogs in that country! Hope you guys get some rain soon. Its dry as a popcorn poot down there!

Good deal Justin, I like hunting most anywhere but that part of the world is "special".  What part of south Texas is that ranch located?

The Barrier's are great people.  Matt the ranch is in Carrizo Springs.  Glad yall had a good hunt.  Did you ever get tired of eating while you were there?
