got a 10 week old pup that has blood in his stool. he eats drinks and acts normal just has blood afer he does the number two.....dont have worms have wormed several tomes made no difference.

If he's eating and drinking fine... sounds like worms. Hit him three days in a row with strongid or have the vet do a fecal to be sure.

thanks for the reply i had another pup do the same about 4 months ago took to the vet checked out good no worms nothing. he gave me some kind of antiobotic peel gave for a few days and it finally cleared up.i dont know what is going on but there is something there

i had that problem a while back with some dogs in kennels vet said it was coccidiosis.

It is cocsiddia or however you spell it guaranteed, I have had it in two pups and heard of the same thin with severel freinds. Its from them eating their own number 2, or more commonly bird crap from them eating there food. You can get ALBON at the feed store and fixes it right up, the easiest kind is the kind you get for chickens to mix in the water. Its bad stuff get on it asap!

had a puppy with coccidia that had the same symptoms, also had a catchdog with those same symptoms, but when i took him in the vet said it was dietary indiscretion, meaning the knucklehead ate something he shouldn't have. It cleared up on its own in a few days.

make sure he is up to date on shots, hate for him to have parvo.
