You get what you pay for. If you pay bottom dollar more then likely you'll get a crappy bred dogo. You pay high dollar you'll get a good bred dogo. Just like any other breed.

i have to disagree with you on that ...... i've seen dogs bought for the price of a bag of dog food out hunt full reg. $1,000 dogs !  my best dogs have always been free , not everyone wants to get rich from breeding dogs .

I'm not wrong, that's just my opinion. I know people will disagree.

That kind of thinking is why the dogo is so expensive, a good hunting dog isn't about the price tag - its about how and if the dog hunts, bottom line.

It doesn't $hit gold, it's not even like a pit, where 9 out of 10 will catch - I hear all these people giving reasons why a dogo is worth that much and I don't think I'll ever agree.

I don't think i will ever agree either BUT as long as they are happy with their dogo's than who am i to argue. The way i look at it i can pick up a pit for 50$ or less literally all over the place where i live. I'd rather go that route and be able to buy 25+ pitbulls over the next 20 or so years for the price of 1 dogo. I personally would rather go this route but i have no reason to dis the people who prefer a dogo......doesn't mean i wont pick at em but i don't mean any harm by it! To each his own.

I haven't read anything yet about them doing something that people don't do with pits or abd's? Dodgegirl keeps telling us we need to spend 2500 dollars for a dog with a piece of paper but also says there's a good chance of getting a dud...think I'll roll with a curr dog or abd lol

I respect everyone's opinion. We all have to agree to disagree. I know people can pick up free or 200 dollar dogs and have s great hunting dog. We aren't in it just for the money. We love the breed, we hunt them, we show them, and they are part of our family.

I love my dogo's, no doubt - but I was spoiled by a good friend. He brought me into a world of white satin and incredible drive - without charging me a down payment on a car.

That's what it's about - friendship, dogs, the great outdoors, and watching your dogs do what they were supposed to do - not about money. Pet owners can pay that price tag, if they aren't gonna use the dogs for what they were intended for.
I mean no offense to anyone, that's just how I feel

I never said you have to spend anything. I was asked what my dogs go for and I told you. I also never said that dogos do anything better than any other breed. I never said you have to spend 2500, I simply said that for a top quality dog its going to cost you. And in not talking about a b.a hunting dog I'm talking about an all around skin hips eyes attitude hearing things like that.

Both mine were pick of the litter, both are excellent examples of the breed.  Took me 3 years to breed my female, because I wanted to make sure she was worthy to breed - I gave every pup away for free, because it is more important to me to have them in hunting homes, then to make money off of them.

All pups had Baer tests, wormed, shots, etc. before they left - I don't think it's wrong for people to sell their pups for what ever they want to sell them for, but to me - if you want the best for this breed, it's gonna take sacrifices to make sure it is doing what it was intended to do.

My pups aren't all for hunting. Most people show them or have them as family/guard dogs. But I'm not going to sit here and explain myself over and over again. Like I said tho I do respect everyone's opinion.
