I have a litter that hit the ground yesterday. How do you go about getting puppy papers?

Dave, I'm not sure how it works with FBMCBOI, but this is how it works with the NALC. The registry will send you a litter application for your female catahoula as soon as the female pup is registered. It list all her ancestry etc. This is not her Registration papers, it is a litter application that you hang onto until she has pups. Once the pups hit the ground you fill out the litter application and send in to the Registry. In a few weeks they send out puppy pappers. A puppy paper is filled out for each pup and given to the new owner and sent in to the registry so that the pup can get it's official Registration Papers. If any of the new pups are female, they will send out a litter application along with the pups official Registration papers and the cycle just repeats itself. I don't know if it works the same with FBMCBOI . You could contact them and find out the procedure. I know this doesn't answer your question exactly. Oh, I almost forgot, Pics, man. Let's see them pups. Abby is due to drop a litter in about 3 weeks. Foundation Blackmouth Cur Breeders Organization Donald Cain Box 291, Bullard, TX 75757

She is registered. I have her papers with me listed as her owner. These papers didn't come with any kind of litter application. I appreciate the info.
Best of luck with Abby.

With all the Yellow dog owners on this site, surely someone knows how to go about it. How many pups did she have?

Just call the registry and request a litter registration paper. That should be it as long as both parents are reg.

Hog Bit, I think you should have checked into this before you breeed them. If you want to breed them I think you should have done some paperwork up front and pay a fee. I have papers that my dogs came with, but I nerver sent them in. Airduster on here can probably tell you more.. Good Luck

You can get a litter enrollment form from the foundation. You will need the regular info on both the patents and signatures of the owners of both patents, date female was bred, and date the litter came. Pretty easy to fill out once you get it, and you pay the fee when you send it back. Anthony

Striker is a beast. I am proud to own him. He isn't afraid to get out and hunt, and knows how to keep a hog bayed by himself. He road hunts well and will cast hunt. I mostly walk hunt, but have started roading a little bit recently. He seems to be a natural at road hunting. You better grab him first at the bay or he will be back hunting as soon as the hog is flipped.
P.S. I gave your number to a guy named Brandon on Friday morning.

Is striker the one you got last year? How does the dam of the pups hunt?

I have had Stiker since November of 2010.
I got the dam in January. She hadn't been off the chain until I got her. She initially took a ride to Louisiana with tnhillbilly. A few different people had her and never did anything with her.
I took her to the woods February-May. She stays close most of the time, but when she decides to get out and hunt she will get out to around 700 yards then check back in. She may stick around for a while or be gone as soon as you see her. She will catch a pig and bay a hog. She will help catch a big hog, and she knows what caught hog means. She is definitely showing some promise.
I may have bred her before she was PROVEN, but I have heard some good things about Striker's pups. I wanted to make this cross and have Cookie back hunting before the cool weather gets here.
