Bow hunting

I'm just curious as to what yalls opinions are on what type of arrows yall prefer.  For me i've always used Gold Tip and am just curious on what other brand carbon arrows are reliable out there.  Bow season is getting closer and i'm about to have to restock on some.  Also i shoot the blazer vanes and haven't had a problem with them, just wanting to hear some opinions on what people like to shoot and such.  Thanks for your time.

I use Gold Tips, but with all the arrow splintering accidents I've been reading about I might try some full metal jackets or something like it next.

Been shooting the Beman ICS 400's for about 6 years now. I like the arrows, and have never had any problems with them. I was shooting Blazers, but switched to the Fusion vanes last year. Seemed to tighten up my 40 a bit. No complaints with them either.

My bosses shoot a lot I don't much some but not a lot.  I shoot the gold tips but they went to I guess what hawkins is talking about they are carbon with a shell on the out side and said they like them a lot.  Said good groups and FAST.

I also shoot the beman ICS 400s , they are top of the line , I have a 4 inch fleching put on them ,four instead of three for easier tuning , I tell them when I have them made to not glue in my inserts and when I get them home I will put my broadheads in them super tight and then glue them in and tune at the same time ,[ a four blade broadhead ] I can hit a baseball size target at 70 yrds just about every time , Im going to start practicing again about sept. , good luck to you all

I was shooting the Beman ICS 400 for the last year now, a month and a half ago I bought the Full Metal Jackets and I really like them, they put a lot more impact in the arrow.

can you get the full metal jackets at like academy or gander moutain, or do you have to order them from cabela's or something?

Shooting Beman ICS 400s also with no problems.  Not saying they are the best, my bow guy just recommended them way back when and I haven't tried anything else.  Fletched with 4 inch feathers, just a cool touch in my opinion.  Shot a High Country Ultra Force for years but just got me a BowTech TomKat and love it.  Never tried the mechanical broadheads, have stuck to the tried and true 3 blades.

Depends on what you are looking for in an arrow. All above mentioned are extremely heavy and take your arrow speed way down i have shot tons of arrows and carbon express is hands down the best arrow for the money true flying and speed all in one arrow. Now they are 100 for 6 but they are the best

Carbon Express maximas are what I use they are expensive but I love em.

I'd love to shoot those premo arrows as I'm sure they are faster and shoot further, but for me whackin hogs, javelina, and does here in South Texas, economics play a big factor.  I don't cringe so bad if that stinky pig breaks off one of my cheaper arrows.  Now, if I was going on a expensive hunt, I'd have to pony up for the good stuff.  With a bull elk in my sights at 40 or 50 yards, I'd for sure want the best sitting on my rest as I draw back.
