I used to have some jam up feist squirrel dogs but there all gone now. They had damn good nose and where very gritty for a 15 to 20 pound dog.

My cousin has some Mullins feist that he hunts he's struck several hogs for him and hes pretty rough at that. I'm sure he will see this post before long and chime in.

I use one of my male Mullins feist "Trouble"  for a strike dog. He isn't a small feist he weighs in around 30 lbs. and is 19" at shoulder and . I have lost count at this point but he has struck close to 40 hogs that I've actually killed or caught if not more by know. Not to mention a few that just wouldn't bay. He has the nose, brains, gritt and drive. His only fault is he just don't have quite enough leg if you get on a bad runner but will stay on one for a couple miles. I mean he is a feist and not bred to run game. But I'd say I bag over 80% of the hogs he strikes. I raise squirrel dogs and he was bred for that and will tree the fire out of the squirrels for me as well. He has been a real handy tool for hunting hogs here in south west arkansas. Because alot of places I have to hunt are solid timber or combination of timber and pine plantations and thickets. He excels in thickets were your bigger dogs get slowed way down. And he will catch up to about 100 to 125lbs. has been his biggest to hold but has gotten to were he's gonna try them once no matter the size and has a few scars to prove it. I never encouraged this but he will keep them bayed until I show up and then he will run in and try to catch on the ear.He is a super tight in there face bay dog. My avatar is Trouble at 10 months old in the face of a 230 + boar. I have posted several pictures of hunts with him on here. Good Hunting.....Denny
