Where are all the women hog hunter/hog doggers out there? I wish I could meet some that live close to me. I have yet to find a fellow female who is genuinely into the hunting and specifically the dogs as much as I am. I've met some who are into the novelty of it, but when it comes down to the 'dirtier' parts like tending to the dogs....forget it. Do others like me exist? I have a very painful back condition but I still get out in the yard daily and take damned good care of my dogs, and still manage to work them as well.  Grin
Where are you ladies?!?!

"No woman can catch hogs. They just can't do it. It is all just fake anytime a girl says she can do that." I actually heard a guy say something like that to Chance at the hunter extraveganza last year. He had that video of the girls catching hogs and some guy got all upset. But Chance stayed cool and let it go. Best be glad (spelling)Crystal did not hear him. If I spelled her name wrong there is one with it spelled that way that catches hogs too. So be glad neither one of them heard him Grin

I take care of our dogs just as much as my husband and I can tell you just as much stuff about each individual dog just as well. We have some dogs that won't listen to me to save my life but turn around we have a couple that could care less about PBC if I'm around. LOL. I'm not much into hunting at night but will usually go depending on who we're going with but I love going durin the day. I can give shots, fluids and help with most injuries. Now the smell of blood does get to me but I don't mind getting my hands dirty. This is a passion and a way of living for both myself and my husband.

Im 25 and am in the process of moving back east(in Eden going to Corsicana) Dont get to hunt hogs but LOVE putting my dogs in the bay pen an running a trapline when ever I can...I understand the "were are all the other woman out there"..there are very very few female trappers out there that will do all that is required to put up the fur! Blood doesnt bother me at all an I will take an animal from the outdoors to the supper table no problem..I find processing meat kinda peacefull (I know im weird  ) I have 3 Lacys an a hound...been promised a cat pup(I know im goin over to the dark side  Wink ) Hopin to get to go hunting more since im moving east...I go over LA a bit for the bays..you should come to one an maybe we could meet?

I'd LOVE to meet each and every one of y'all that replied here! I have been dyin to make it to a bay comp.
I own one proven catch dog, and two potential bay dogs Smiley I usually go with my husband who has the finished bay dogs. Can't wait till mine are older and working! It's fun going with the guys and all, but to have a fellow female dogwoman around too, would be AWESOME. I am located in the southeast LA/southwestern MS area.......

I met my now wife in 2002, The first thing i did was take her hunting, Just her , me and my dogs. I walked her thru swamps, had her crawling thru palmettos, day and night hunts for many years. She can skin one and quarter one up and is always right their at the catch..  I knew then she was a keeper and to this day she might tell me enough when i get around 10 dogs and only complains when i go hunting and she has to stay home because she has to be at work in the morning.. Lol.

There are plenty of us out here. Mandi, Jolynne, Dinah, Crystal, Cristina, Courtney are just a few, that been around quite a few years, I think Dinah the only one still posting and on the forum as much anymore.

Jolynne (jsl1965) is president of Lone Star Working Dog Assoc. and Mandi(aladatrot) serving on the Board for a couple years and both served as TDHA servents for years, so give you a good idea of how long been around supporting HOG HUNTING with dogs. LIVING THE DREAM, lol. Kiss
